Rest in peace: Pope Francis
It is with great sadness that we received the news of the death of the Holy Father Pope Francis this morning Easter Monday, April 21, 2025. Together with all the clergy, religious and lay faithful in the Diocese of Reykjavík, we join with Catholics across the world in now praying for the repose of his soul.

A special Mass and prayer for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis will be held in Christ the King Cathedral in Reykjavík, on Tuesday, April 22nd at 18.00
