Pétur Urbancic awarded by the Holy See

We heartily congratulate Pétur Urbancic on the Pontifical recognition “Croce pro Ecclesia et Pontifice”, which he received for his service to the Catholic Church at the Sunday Mass in the Cathedral of Christ the King in Landakot on July 21st.
Pétur has shown his zeal and big qualities his whole life. He is a strong member of the community and very active especially in the liturgical and musical life of our Cathedral and Diocese.
He has f. ex. been a member of the Cathedral church choir for over 70 years. Despite his advanced age, he still regularly attends Mass. In addition, he has worked in the Association of Catholic Laymen for years and was its chairman for a while.
We sincerely thank Pétur for his energetic work for the benefit of our church and wish him God’s blessing and continued prosperity!
