Day of the Religious in Reykjavik Diocese

Last Tuesday we had the opportunity to celebrate the religious life together in the Carmelite Convent in Hafnarfjörður and then ended the day with a dinner, together with priests and parishioners in Landakot, the Cathedral of Christ the King.

At noon we prayed together and Bishop David gave us a golden Rosary and encouraged us to use it regularly wherever we are and to pray it in such a way that our hearts become golden like the string of numbers. Because prayer makes a person good.

The highlight of our meeting was the Eucharist. At 18:00 we had Holy Mass, where the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is renewed and everyone can participate in the sacrifice.

And after Mass we had dinner together, prepared with care by kind women, as well as Nicolas.

In an atmosphere of fraternal love we sang several songs thanking the Virgin Mary for the gift of our vocation.

We encourage all who hear the voice of God through their conscience to dedicate their lives to the service of God and to charity, because God is generous and gives us back hundredfold what we give to Him with all our hearts.

Long live the Virgin Mary and long live the mission!
