The Holy See

Let us pray together for Pope Leo XIV

Bishop David B. Tencer OFMCap of Reykjavík urges everyone—Catholics and all other people of good will alike—to pray for Pope Leo’s speedy recovery and for the medical staff who will perform the scheduled procedure to remove a small, localized nodule in his lung.
The Pope announced yesterday, Sunday, October 11, that a nodule had been discovered in his lung during a routine medical check-up. The condition is in its early stages. The procedure will be performed at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome early next week. He is expected to take about a week to recover.
